BOGOR - The Regency Government (Pemkab) of Bogor, West Java through the Youth and Sports Service (Dispora) has prepared a budget of IDR 1.9 billion to replace the grass of Pakansari Stadium, Cibinong, Bogor.

Head of the Bogor Regency Dispora, Asnan, explained that the grass replacement work also includes repairing the stadium's drainage system.

He explained that since operating in 2016, Pakansari Stadium grass has never been replaced at all. So, currently the conditions are concerning, especially when it rains, floods often occur.

However, the stadium with a capacity of 30 thousand spectators is still used as a home base for the 1973 Persikabo football team in navigating Liga 1.

Asnan said that currently the package for grass replacement activities is still in the auction stage at the Bogor Regency Government Electronic Procurement Service (LPSE).

"Currently, it is still in the auction process. Maybe at the end of August we can start replacing grass and repairing drainage," said Asnan.

The new grass to be used, he said, is Zoysiajaponica or better known as Japanese grass. This type of grass, according to him, has better resistance than Zoysiamatrella used previously.

Zoysiajaponica is widely used for golf courses. This type of grass has a faster recovery rate, although it has a rougher texture than Zoysiamatrella.

"Zoysiajaponica can grow faster and be more resilient with the Indonesian climate and the use of Pakansari Stadium with very high intensity," said Asnan.
