Had Fled To The Roof Of The House, A Gang Of Thieves In Palmerah Freed By The Police Because Of A New Attempt

JAKARTA - A teenager named Fajri and two of his colleagues were caught by residents while stealing in the house. They then tried to escape by climbing over the roof of a resident's house in the Palmerah area, West Jakarta.

However, Fajri's escape action was trapped above the house. Meanwhile, two of his colleagues managed to escape.

Palmerah Police Chief Kompol Dodi Abdulrohim confirmed the incident that had gone viral on social media. The perpetrator initially acted with two of his friends.

The three entrances had entered the yard of one of the residents' houses to steal valuables. However, when they were about to take action, the actions of the three were caught by the owner of the house.

The three perpetrators then rushed. Moreover, the owner of the house shouted to the point of attracting the attention of other residents.

"The perpetrators were 3 people, but 2 people fled," said Kompol Dodi when confirmed, Tuesday, July 18.

Kompol Dodi explained that the perpetrator had received a blow from local residents. Before long, officers immediately took the perpetrator to the police station. From the results of the examination, the perpetrator admitted that he wanted to steal valuables from the house.

However, when asked by the police, the perpetrator was reluctant to specifically admit what valuables would be stolen.

"I didn't admit it. What is clear is that the intention is to just steal those inside the house," he said.

Kompol Dodi said that the perpetrators were not detained and were only obliged to report. Because no items have been stolen.

"Just an attempt. Only he just entered the yard of someone's house," he said.
