Sandiaga: Don't Calculate The Cost Of The 2024 Election Campaign

Chairman of the Election Winning Body (Bappilu) of the United Development Party (PPP) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno emphasized that there would be no calculations in issuing campaign costs in the 2024 General Election.

"This first PPP is intended for worship, so never count with Allah SWT. Don't count all of that," said Sandiaga after the PPP National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) VI at the Sultan Hotel, Jakarta, reported by ANTARA, Saturday, June 17.

Sandiaga assessed that what he is currently doing together with the party bearing the Kaaba logo was part of worship so that he did not question the costs to be incurred during the 2024 General Election.

"We give all of that as a sacrifice because this is a fall of worship," he explained.

For this reason, the PPP vice presidential candidate (cawapres) will continue to be consistent.

Sandiaga also admitted that he matched the invitation or recommendations that PPP had to behave well and prevent bad behavior.

"In this politics, I am compatible with the struggle of amar makruf nahi mungkar, which God willing, will bring blessings to all in Indonesia," he said.

Sandiaga Uno previously admitted that he had spent around IDR 1 trillion of campaign costs when he was a contestant in the 2019 Presidential Election.

At that time, Sandiaga Uno ran to become a vice presidential candidate accompanying Prabowo in the 2019 presidential election.

However, Sandiaga stated that the fee had been reported and audited by the General Elections Commission (KPU) and recorded in the State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN).
