Rizieq Shihab Is Seriously Ill. The Story Is False, Police: He Got The Best Service

JAKARTA - The National Police Headquarters denied reports that Rizieq Shihab was seriously ill. Based on the police doctor's medical examination, the person concerned was declared healthy.

"His condition is in good health. So if there are issues of serious illness, all kinds of things are lies," said Head of Public Relations of the National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono to reporters, Monday, January 25.

Argo said Rizieq Shihab's health condition was continuously monitored by a team of doctors from the National Police. So that based on medical records, Rizieq was not sick as stated by other parties.

"The current condition of MRS is in perfectly healthy condition and always gets the best service, especially health from Bareskrim Polri," said Argo.

In fact, Argo also denied the matter of the family asking Rizieq to be dropped off at the UMMI Hospital. He said this was unnecessary because Rizieq Shihab's condition was still healthy

"No, now there are still health problems at Bareskrim, now the condition is good and Bareskrim is certainly paying special attention to this health problem," he said.

Meanwhile, Rizieq Shihab was transferred from the detention center for Narcotics Polda Metro Jaya to Bareskrim Polri. The transfer was carried out to simplify the inspection process.

"The consideration is that the detainees at PMJ are too congested, as well as to make it easier for Bareskrim investigators to file their cases," said the Director of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Andi Rian.

Rizieq Shihab was named a suspect in violating health protocols at his daughter's wedding in Petamburan. He was named a suspect on Thursday, December 10.

In this case, Rizieq Shihab was charged with Article 160 KUHP and 216 KUHP. Then he was detained since December 12. Rizieq was in a drug detention cell at Polda Metro Jaya.
