The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is waiting for the cassation decision submitted by former Tanah Bumbu Regent Mardani H. Maming to develop the bribery and gratification case that ensnared him. The analysis will be carried out before applying the money laundering article (TPPU). "Of course the KPK is still waiting for a decision from the Supreme Court first after that, it will be analyzed from the decision at the Supreme Court," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, June 15. "With the provision that if it is not paid, it will be replaced with imprisonment for four months," said the Panel of Judges of the Banjarmasin District Court. Then, the former General Treasurer of the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Executive Board was also required to pay a replacement money of Rp110 billion which if not paid was replaced with imprisonment for 2 years. This verdict is lower than the prosecutor's demands. Prosecutors demanded that Mardani be sentenced to 10 years and 6 months in prison with a fine of Rp. 700 million, subsidiary to 8 months and pay compensation of Rp. 118 billion, subsidiary to 5 years in prison.
