JAKARTA - The government, through the Directorate General of Financing and Risk Management, the Ministry of Finance, today officially released Series 19 Retail Government Bonds (ORI019) with a 5.57 percent coupon.

Director General of Finance and Risk Management of the Ministry of Finance Luky Alfirman said the issuance of ORI19 was a form of government consistency in realizing the independence of the State Budget (APBN) financing.

"All of the funds raised will be used to finance the 2021 State Budget, including the acceleration of economic recovery and also the vaccination program," he said in a virtual press, Monday, January 25.

Luky added that the ORI19 offering period starts today until next February 18 by collaborating with 26 distribution partners who are connected 24 hours.

"We hope that the consistency of the issuance of state securities (SBN) can also shape a culture of investing in society," he said.

To note, the coupons offered by ORI19 are lower than the ORI018 coupons which are 5.7 percent.

However, ORI019 yield is still higher when compared to government debt securities (SUN) which is 5 percent. Meanwhile, another ORI019 advantage is that this instrument is an investment with a low risk profile.
