Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto held a meeting with the Secretary General of the Democratic Party, Teuku Riefky. A number of discussions were held, including opportunities for cooperation during the 2024 General Election.

This was conveyed by the Coordinator of the Democratic Party Spokesperson Herzaky Mahendra Putra. He said the casual meeting was held in the Blok M area with dinner.

"Yes, that's right, there was a meeting between the Secretary General of the Democratic Party Teuku Riefky and PDIP Secretary General Hasto. The location is in the Berkah Chicken, Blok M," Herzaky told reporters, Sunday, June 11 evening.

In addition to discussing the possibility of cooperation, the two also discussed the meeting of the Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) with the Chairman of the PDIP DPP Puan Maharani. This plan follows up on Hasto's statement.

However, it is not certain when the two presidential children will meet. Herzaky said, "For the schedule for Ms. Puan and Ms. AHY's meeting, they are adjusting the schedule for the two," he said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Secretary General of the Democratic Party Jansen Sitindaon stated that this meeting had been reported to Team 8 of the Change Coalition which carried former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan. "So this meeting is open," he said in a written statement.

In the circulating photo, Hasto was accompanied by Deputy Secretary-General of PDIP Utut Adianto and wearing a red shirt. Meanwhile, Teuku Riefky wore a black collared shirt.

Previously, Hasto stated that Puan Maharani would meet with AHY. The meeting will be filled with dialogue.

This statement was made after Puan said that AHY was included in the vice presidential candidate (cawapres) market accompanying Ganjar Pranowo. The name appears in the PDIP III National Working Meeting.

"Later, Ms. Puan Maharani will meet with Mr. AHY to have a dialogue," said Hasto at Tanjung Priok Port, North Jakarta, Saturday, June 10.

Hasto said, this opportunity is open for the life of the nation in the future. "If in the Middle East alone between Iran and Saudi Arabia can unite on Chinese interference, why do we not unite on our awareness of the interests of the nation and state, and the glory of the nation in the future," he stressed.

"So yes, this is it, we sincerely offer a collaboration. Moreover, Pak Ganjar is widely accepted," continued Hasto.
