Head Of RT Nyambi Becomes Methamphetamine Dealer, Arrested While Making Drug Transactions

JAKARTA - EM, a head of the RT in Bungur Village, Senen District, Central Jakarta, was arrested by the Narcotics Unit of the Johar Baru Police for being involved in narcotics trafficking.

When arrested, suspect EM was with two of his friends with the initials AS and IS. They were arrested on Jalan Kalibaru Timur Raya, Senen District, Central Jakarta.

"We have secured the head of RT in RW 06, Bungur Village for distributing methamphetamine with the initials EM," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Komarudin when confirmed, Sunday, June 11.

Komarudin said the arrest began with a report from the public. The perpetrator's initials EM was arrested with evidence of 11 small clip packages containing white crystals suspected of being methamphetamine.

"Weight a total of 4.04 grams from EM's hands. The perpetrator was arrested while delivering methamphetamine packages to IS and AS as users," he said.

Separately, the Head of Bungur Village, Rahman confirmed that the head of RT 15 RW 06 Bungur Village, Senen District was arrested by the police.

"Yes, it is true that the head of RT 15 in Bungur Village was arrested. The information is that there are three people, one of whom is the head of RT 15, Elvan Munajat," said Lurah Bungur, Rahman.

Rahman said that his party had received news that three people had been arrested in his area, one of whom was the head of RT 15. It is known that the head of RT 15 only took office after being inaugurated in 2023.

"The head of the RT has just served as chairman of the RT for the next 5 years," he said.
