Building Construction Project In Menteng Makan Victim Area, 1 Person Died 2 Seriously Injured After Falling From 7th Floor

JAKARTA - A project worker with the initials HA (30) died after falling from the Gondola at the height of the 7th floor of a building project construction in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta.

HA victims died after suffering serious injuries to the head and waist. Meanwhile, two other workers, P (30) and S (30) suffered serious injuries and were treated at the Police Hospital, Kramat Jati.

"The victim, who was seriously injured, had a broken hand, only abrasions. Only one person fell down, two of whom were still able to hold on to the tool," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Komarudin, Tuesday, June 6.

The Central Jakarta Metro Police are still examining 6 witnesses related to the work accident.

"Saksi sampai dengan siang siang sudah enam yang kita lakukan pemeriksaan dan tidak menutup kemungkinan kami lakukan pendalaman lagi terkait masalah siapa itu yang melihat bagaimana mekanisme SOP dari pekerjaan, nanti kita pengembangkan," ujarnya.

Meanwhile, regarding the safety of work protective equipment (APK) and personal protective equipment (PPE) used by the victims, Kombes Komarudin said that his party had carried out all the checks.

"We have checked everything, the safety is used. Including the victims who died, there is still a rope of life (APK)," he said.

Until now, the investigation process is still ongoing. If there is an element of negligence, there will be a suspect determination because there were casualties.

"There are allegations of negligence as stipulated in articles of the Criminal Code article 359 and 360 paragraphs 1 and paragraph 2 considering that there are victims," he said.
