Kremlin Says Drone Attack On Moscow Is Ukraine's Reply To Attack On Important Facilities In Kyiv

JAKARTA - Tuesday's drone strike on Moscow was Kyiv's attempt to retaliate against an effective Russian attack on one of the important facilities, the decision-making center in Ukraine on Sunday.

"It is clear that what we are seeing is the reaction of the Kyiv regime to our very effective attack against one of the decision-making centers. The attack took place on Sunday," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

The Kremlin believes that Kyiv was behind a drone strike in the Russian capital.

"It is clear that this attack was launched by the Kiev regime. This must be understood very clearly," said Peskov.

At the same time, he refrained from saying anything about the fact that several drones were shot down near the Runblyovo-Uspenskoye Highway.

"I can't comment," he said.

As a result, Moscow and Moscow's territory were attacked by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on Tuesday morning.

Separately, the Defense Ministry said electronic counter-drone technology was used to divert three Ukrainian drones, while five others were shot down, including by the Pantsir missile system that assists Moscow's defenses.

"Everything is working well, working well. The air defense system is also working well," Peskov said.

"This once again confirms the need to continue this special military operation and achieve the goals that have been set," he said.

Separately, an assistant to President Volodymyr Zelensky denied Kyiv was directly involved in the Moscow offensive, but expects more attacks to come.

"Of course we are happy to watch and estimate the increase in the number of attacks. But of course, we have nothing to do with this directly," said Mykhailo Podolyak.
