JAKARTA - PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program provided medical equipment and logistics for refugees who were victims of an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 in Mamuju Regency, West Sulawesi.

President Director of SIG, Hendi Prio Santoso said, through the GIS care program, his party moved quickly to help earthquake victims by deploying an emergency response team consisting of the Corporate Secretary and the CSR SIG Team.

The emergency response team from SIG departed on Friday January 15 and Saturday January 16 or after the earthquake with logistical support. Some of the basic necessities include foodstuffs, clothing, tents, tarpaulins, baby equipment, toiletries, blankets, medical equipment, and medicines.

Hendi Prio Santoso further explained that apart from deploying a disaster emergency response team, PT Semen Tonasa (SIG Group) also established a “Semen Tonasa Peduli” post at Hotel Meganita, Mamuju. The post is used to provide health services and a distribution center for assistance.
