JAKARTA - The Regent of Sleman, Sri Purnomo, announced that he was positive for COVID-19. A week earlier, Sri Purnomo was also injected with the COVID-19 vaccine.

"I tested positive for COVID-19 after I underwent 2 series, where yesterday afternoon I tested positive for rapid antigen, followed by PCR swab this morning the results came out positive," said Sri Purnomo in a video quoted by VOI, Thursday, January 21. .

This afternoon, Sleman Regent Sri Purnomo went straight to the hospital for a chest X-ray.

"Then on the CT scan, our thorax results are good, it's okay and I am currently without any symptoms. Only on Wednesday night we coughed and the temperature rose slightly to the 37.6 Celsius position, "he continued.

The Sleman Regent appealed to residents to adhere to health protocols by wearing masks, maintaining distance and washing their hands with soap as often as possible.

"Hopefully, with all of our discipline, COVID will be finished soon. We keep the government running as usual, we can do it online, then the papers are resolved at home. I isolated myself at home so I wasn't in the hospital because I didn't have any symptoms, God willing, I was in good health, just so that the COVID would be clean in our bodies, "said Sri Purnomo.

The Regent of Sleman gets a vaccine on January 14th

The Regent of Sleman, Sri Purnomo, admitted that he did not feel any side effects after being injected with the COVID-19 vaccine on the first day of the launch of the COVID-19 vaccination program at Ngemplak II Public Health Center, Thursday.

"I just finished being vaccinated and waited for 30 minutes after being injected. After being injected I didn't feel anything, hopefully there will be no effects such as itching, dizziness and others," said Sri Purnomo after undergoing the vaccination.

Sleman Regent Sri Purnomo was the first person to receive a dose of the COVID-19 vaccine that was administered at the Ngemplak II Public Health Center and was the first person to receive the vaccine in Sleman Regency.
