The Former NTB DPRD Member Denies Abusing His Child, Only Relieves Rindu

JAKARTA - The former member of the West Nusa Tenggara Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD NTB) with the initials AA denies that he has committed immoral acts against his biological child.

"No, no. Cook with your own children," said AA at the Mataram Police Headquarters, Thursday, January 21, reported by Antara.

In a press conference that was presented by the Head of Mataram Police, Kombes Heri Wahyudi and Kasat Reskrim, Kompol Kadek Adi Budi Astawa, AA admitted that he only let go of missing the victim who was the son of his second wife.

"I haven't seen my son for a long time. Because I also divorced his mother for a long time," he said.

His meeting with the victim who was still in high school on Monday, January 18, has also been blessed by his ex-wife, who is currently undergoing medical treatment at the hospital for contracting COVID-19.

AA admitted that his meeting with the victim was to discuss plans to enter college and discuss all his needs.

"Asked for a cellphone, asked for money, after that he also asked for money for tutoring," he said. Therefore, on that occasion AA continued to deny that he had committed immoral acts against his 17 year old biological child.

Meanwhile, Kapolresta Mataram Heri Wahyudi said that AA has now been detained. His party has detained AA from the time he was named a suspect on Wednesday, January 20 yesterday.

"Because we have become suspects, we will continue to the detention process," said Heri.

As a suspect, AA was suspected of Article 82 Paragraph 2 of Perppu 1/2016 in conjunction with Article 76E of Law Number 35/2014 concerning Amendments to Law Number 23/2002 concerning Child Protection.

In accordance with his criminal suspicion, AA, who has served as a member of the legislature for five terms, is threatened with a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison plus a third of the main sentence.

One of the pieces of evidence that strengthens AA as a suspect is the result of the external genital post-mortem. In the victim's medical record, there were new wounds with irregular shapes on the victim's genitals and breasts.
