BANDA ACEH - Aceh Provincial Government (Pemprov) opens the opportunity to restore conventional bank operations to Aceh, one of the efforts made is to revise Aceh's Qanun (regional regulation) Number 11 of 2018 concerning Sharia Financial Institutions (LKS).

Regarding the revised plan, the Acting Governor of Aceh has also submitted the plan to change the LKS qanun to the Chairman of the Aceh People's Representative Council (DPRA) for further discussion by the Aceh parliament.
MTA explained that basically the Aceh Government agreed on the plan to revise the LKS qanun, and specifically had written to the DPRA since October 2022 regarding the review of the regulation.
