Unlike Civil Servants, Anies's 2020 TGUPP Salary Is Only 25 Percent Cut

JAKARTA - The head of the PDIP faction at the DPRD, Gembong Warsono, said that the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan implemented a rationalization of different salaries and benefits between civil servants and the Governor's Team for the Acceleration of Development (TGUPP).

From April to December 2020, DKI PNS only received 50 percent of their entitlement. As much as 25 percent of allowances were cut to be transferred to handling social assistance due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Then, the TKD payment of 25 percent of the next TKD will be postponed in 2021.

However, Gembong admitted that he had just found out that the income of DKI TGUPP members was only cut 25 percent in 2020.

"According to the information we received, the realization of the 2020 TGUPP salary budget is Rp 14.48 billion. This means that TGUPP wages are not cut by 50 percent like what was applied to civil servants, "said Gembong in his speech, Thursday, January 21.

In fact, said Gembong, initially TGUPP was included in the ranks that also experienced a 50 percent reduction in salaries and benefits in 2020 and 25 percent of which was paid in the following year.

This deduction and postponement of income is carried out to align the target of rationalization of the DKI Jakarta Regional Budget which is estimated at IDR 47.2 trillion which will be decided in mid-2020.

It turns out that when the APBD was determined for the 2020 budget year, the 2020 DKI Regional Budget reached IDR 63.23 trillion. Salaries and allowances of TGUPP members are included in the change in budget rationalization.

Regarding this, Gembong considered that the difference in the allowance discount between PNS and TGUPP was a discriminatory attitude.

"This is a reflection of Governor Anies' discriminatory, opportunistic and selfish policies. While civil servants and their families have to live on 50% income, the salaries of TGUPP members are only cut by 25%. This is clearly unfair. " said the kingpin.
