Almost 2 Years Of Mystery Of Mother And Child Murder In Subang Undisclosed, Police Now Open Hotline

The West Java Regional Police (Polda) held a special hotline in the process of investigating the murder of a mother and child in Subang Regency, West Java, in order to uncover the case after almost two years of not finding a bright spot.

The Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Ibrahim Tompo, said that the public could contact the number if they knew about the murder case. According to him, the number that can be contacted is 0822-446-9946, which is connected directly to the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation.

"Indeed, we have taken various steps, the same spirit is revealing as soon as possible this case," Ibrahim said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, May 19.

Ibrahim said that within the previous two months, the witnesses examined increased from 121 people to 124 people. So he said the investigation of the case continued even though almost two years had passed.

He said the process of investigating the case was carried out in an accountable and procedural manner. So he said his party could not identify suspects carelessly.

"The application of a person as a suspect has legal responsibility so that investigators must not rashly determine someone as a suspect," he said.

The police have examined 49 DNA samples from a number of witnesses related to the case. However, according to him, the examination did not show any identical DNA.

"The current position of many forensic laboratory examinations is all still of non-identical status," he said.

Earlier on Wednesday (18/8/2021), residents of Subang Regency were shocked by the discovery of the bodies of a mother and child covered in blood in the trunk of a car. The police confirmed that the body was a murder victim.

The two bodies of the mother and child were found in the trunk of a Toyota Alphard car in Ciseuti Hamlet, Jalan Cagak Village, Jalan Cagak District, Subang Regency. The identities of the two are known to be Tuti (55) and her son Amelia Mustika Ratu (23).
