JAKARTA - Observer and social media activist Denny Siregar, again highlighted the policy made by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan. This time, it is related to the colorful tile paint project at the residents' houses around the Horseshoe flyover, Lenteng Agung.

According to Denny, the strange policy of number 1 in DKI Jakarta is not the first. Do you still remember closing Kali Item using a net or building a bamboo resin statue? The project with minimal benefits, according to Denny, is just a waste of the budget without providing benefits to the citizens of the capital.

"Not Anies Baswedan, if the policies are not strange. There are things that make us laugh, not because people are funny, but because they are policies that don't make sense," Denny said.

Covering Kali Item with a net to dispel the unpleasant smell has taken up the DKI budget of IDR 580 million. The result is still nil because the pungent odor of Kali Item remains. Then the resin statues cost Rp.550 million in total. It had not been a year since the statue was dismantled because it was rotten.

"Yes, it is natural that a bamboo statue gets rained, when it is hot it must be rotten. What makes you laugh is that you don't know how long you have to lose Rp.550 million just so you know that bamboo will rot if you put it outside?" said Denny

The colorful tile paint in the houses of Lenteng Agung residents is even funnier. Although we don't know exactly how much budget DKI Jakarta has disbursed, this policy is considered useless.

"What's the problem? Paint the roof tiles like that to make them beautiful? To be admired by people? To be praised?" Dennny said.

According to Denny, Anies should have thought about Jakarta's economy which fell to minus 8.2 percent during this pandemic. Not to mention the BPS data which named DKI as the province with the highest unemployment rate in Indonesia.

"Many small people are unemployed and hungry, then how can they enjoy the colorful tiles that you are proud of, can that person be fed colored tiles or just entertained with good words, you should be proud to have a governor who can chat. tile, "

"If you only paint colorful tiles, you don't have to be the governor of DKI Nis," said Denny.

As previously reported, the beautification program for the horseshoe flyover area of Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta has been completed. The roof of the residents' houses has been painted since December 2, 2020.

Head of Lenteng Agung Urban Village, Bayu Pasca Sungkono, said that a total of 218 houses in the RW, 01.02.03 and 05 areas have their roofs decorated with colorful paints. Currently, his party is waiting for an evaluation from the Jakarta Arts Council (DKJ) regarding the results of the drawing whether it still needs improvement or not.
