Not Only Cars At IIMS 2020 Also Showcases Cruise Ships

JAKARTA - The prestigious Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) will be held again this year. Not only cars or two-wheeled vehicles were exhibited, at the IIMS 2020 and IIMS Motobike Show 2020 automotive events, cruise ships were also present.

Dubbed the Indonesia Boating Gathering (IBG), it is a collaboration between the tourist and tourism ship industry, marine lifestyle and water sports facilitated by the Community for Maritime Studies Indonesia (CMSI). This exhibition aims to create public awareness and interest in the marine lifestyle and encourage the awakening of a new generation of maritime people in the country.

"To build awareness, like last year, we have talkshow events. We plan again to have an international seminar," said CMSI Board of Supervisor Mohamad Firman Santoso in his statement as received by VOI.

The annual exhibition which will be held on 9 to 19 April 2020 at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta is also attended by more than 20 Trademark Holder Agents (APM) for four wheels. APMs who have declared their presence at IIMS are BMW, Brand X, DFSK, Honda, Hyundai, Mazda, Mini, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Suzuki, Toyota, and Wuling.

Hendra Noor Saleh as President Director of PT Dyandra Promosindo said that the number of APMs will continue to increase in the future. Because there are several APMs that are still waiting for confirmation.

"The number of APMs who took part in IIMS is still not final. There are still a few more brands that we can't announce. He asked not to be announced first, "said Hendra.

As for the two-wheeled brands that will be present, namely AHM, Benelli, Electro, Kawasaki, Kymco, Royal Enfield, Viar, and Yamaha.

The man who is familiarly called Kohen also did not think that APMs would compete to launch their products. However, he could not confirm who will launch the new product.

Meanwhile, regarding the target transaction, IIMS targets to generate IDR 5 trillion. This amount is somewhat less than last year's Rp5.2 trillion from the previous target of Rp4.8 trillion.

Kohen himself realized that this figure was a surprise. But he questioned whether this was an anomaly or a good trend for the event. Regarding that, he was reluctant to set high targets. The reason is, Dyandra Promosindo is a company whose shares are sensitive to bad news.

Even so, the IIMS 2020 event will feature activities such as car trade-ins. Where visitors who want to find used vehicles can attend the event. Furthermore, IIMS 2020 will also present the Indonesian Custom E-Moto Expo & Championship (ICEC), this event is the first custom competition for electric motorbikes in Indonesia.
