JAKARTA - The Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya is still waiting for the National Police's decision regarding the implementation of Government Regulation (PP) Number 76 of 2020 concerning Types and Rates of Non-Tax Revenue Types (PNBP). "We are still waiting for technical instructions from the center," said Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo in his statement, Wednesday, January 20.
Sambodo said that the follow-up to the regulation was not only based on a Perkap. The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) also has a stake in this regulation.
The reason is that one of the contents of the PP is related to the making and extension of a driving license (SIM) which is free for the underprivileged.
Even so, Sambodo said that the PP also had great benefits, namely, the practice of brokers and individuals who took advantage of the situation.
"Because the PP will be followed up with technical instructions from the Minister of Finance and Perkap," he said.
President Jokowi previously signed PP 76/2020 on PNBP on Saturday, December 21, 2020. In Article 1 of PP 76/2020, it is stated that there are at least 31 types of PNBP that apply within the Police.
The PP allows 31 public service fees to be free, including the cost of making and renewing SIMs for the less fortunate.
