JAKARTA - The explosion of a gas cylinder resulted in one person dying and one injured in Medan Johor District, Medan City, North Sumatra.

Reported by Antara, Wednesday, January 20, Deli Tua Sector Police Chief AKP Zulkifli on Wednesday said that the gas cylinder explosion incident occurred when Juliadi (55) and Nur Aini (40) delivered the gas cylinder using a pickup truck with police number BK 9025 CH.

Juliadi, who works as a driver at the gas base, wants to deliver the gas to a hospital in Medan with Nur Aini, the owner of the gas base.

On the way, Juliadi stopped the car because he suspected that an oxygen cylinder was leaking after hearing the sound of a leaky tube from the back of the car.

However, when he tried to repair the gas cylinder that was suspected to have leaked, the gas cylinder exploded.

"Residents who saw the incident tried to help extinguish the fire caused by the explosion of the oxygen cylinder," said Zulkifli.

According to him, residents who saw the accident took Juliadi and Nur Aini to the hospital.

"But the victim Juliadi was declared dead," he said.
