The police arrested an official in the Cianjur Regency DPRD Secretariat named Deni S (54) on suspicion of fraud in the recruitment of first aid employees within the Cianjur Regency Government, Friday, May 5.
The Head of Cianjur Police, Kompol Faisal, said that the arrest of the reported party began with the victim who had handed over the Rp50 million which was requested by the official with the promise to pass being accepted as a first aid employee.
"However, the promise did not come true, so the victim asked for the money back, but until the official's maturity he did not return the money, so the victim reported the matter to the Cianjur Police," he said.
His party immediately sent a call to the perpetrator, but he did not attend, so the perpetrator was arrested in his office at the Cianjur DPRD Secretariat, without a fight and secured at the Cianjur Police Headquarters, in order to account for his actions.
"Currently, the perpetrators have been arrested and are still undergoing examination by officers," he said.
