Charta Politica: Rebound Electability, Ganjar Pranowo Wins Simulation Of Three Names After Declaration

JAKARTA - The survey institute Charta Politica Indonesia released a survey related to the electability of presidential candidates in the 2024 presidential election. As a result, Ganjar Pranowo became the champion ahead of Prabowo Subianto and Anies Baswedan in a simulation of three names.

"Ganjar was chosen by 36.6 percent of respondents, Prabowo 33.2 percent and Anies 23 percent, as many as 7.2 percent of respondents said they did not know/did not answer," said Charta Politica Indonesia researcher Ardha Ranadireksa, Thursday, May 4.

Ardha explained that Ganjar's electability trend also increased compared to the period 4-7 April which received 31.4 percent.

One of the important factors in increasing the electability of the Governor of Central Java for the two terms was Ganjar's announcement as a presidential candidate by the PDI-P on April 21.

Furthermore, Ardha said that Prabowo Subianto also experienced an increase in electability in the survey for the period April 4-7 and was quite stable in the period April 27-30.

"Meanwhile, Anies Baswedan's electability has a downward trend in the two telephone surveys we conducted," he said.

It is known, this survey was conducted using a telephone survey method with a sample of 1,200 randomly selected respondents from a random sample collection of direct face-to-face surveys that had been conducted by Charta Politica Indonesia.

A total of 197,344 respondents were randomly distributed in the last 2 years, around 75% had phone numbers.

The number of samples randomly selected for calls was 7,500 data, and 1,200 respondents were successfully interviewed.

Using the simple random sampling assumption, the number of 1,200 respondents had a margin of error (MoE) of +2.83 percent at the level of confidence of 95 percent.
