Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of West Sulawesi Province, Syafrudin Baderung in Mamuju, Monday said the quota for prospective West Sulawesi pilgrims came from six regencies in West Sulawesi.

The West Sulawesi hajj quota also includes regional hajj officers (PHD) and the Hajj and Umrah guidance group (KBIHU).

According to him, the 1,453 prospective pilgrims from West Sulawesi consist of pilgrims from Mamuju Regency 261 people who are members of batch 36, 183 prospective pilgrims from Central Mamuju Regency who are members of Group 37, and 151 prospective pilgrims from Pasangkayu Regency who are members of Group 17 and 37.

The distribution of the West Sulawesi hajj quota to all regencies is carried out based on the number of registrants who meet the requirements and criteria set by the government.

"Every pilgrim who is obliged to fulfill all the requirements of the temashj to get a recommendation from the health office and the manager of the hajj so that the pilgrims can depart in a more orderly and safe manner to the holy land of Mecca," he said.

He also said that the government would continue to pay attention to the safety and health of the congregation during the implementation of the pilgrimage in the Holy Land.

"The distribution of evenly distributed groups of West Sulawesi pilgrims is based on the aim not to trouble Hajj officers, when the pilgrims are in the holy land," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 1.
