Polda Metro Will Extend Contraflow Distance To Inner City Toll Roads To Anticipate Backflow For Period Two

JAKARTA - The Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya will extend the implementation of the contraflow traffic flow scheme on the Jakarta Cikampek toll road to Km 3. The goal is to unravel if there is a density during the peak of the return flow for the second period.

Meanwhile, the contraflow scheme has begun to be implemented on the Jakarta Cikampek toll road from Km 72 to 47.

"Later, if there is still an increase, especially on the 30th (April) and 1 (May) we will extend it again to Km 36. Likewise, later, if we extend it again, we will have a long contraflow up to Km 3," said Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Latif Usman told reporters, Saturday, April 29.

The modification of the scheme is situational. This means that both the extension of the distance until the time of application is in accordance with the police discretion.

Then, the contraflow scheme will also be implemented on inner-city toll roads. Because, it is possible that there will be a density there.

"So we are also in the city preparing, namely the path that Cawang has reached the front of the Regional Police, we will conduct a contraflow. That is also very situational for this activity," said Latif.

The Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the National Police will implement a one way traffic flow scheme or one direction on the Palimanan Toll Road to the Jakarta Cikampek Toll Road. The implementation starts at 14.30 WIB.

"One way system from Km 188 Palimanan Toll Gate to Km 72 of the Jakarta Cikampek Toll Road," said Head of Operations for Korlantas Polri Kombes Eddy Djunaedi.

With the implementation of the scheme, the Korlantas ranks will clean up the flow of vehicles leading from Jakarta. The cleaning process starts from 13.00 to 14.30 WIB.

Then, the contraflow scheme will also be implemented on the Km 72 Toll Road to the Jakarta Cikampek to Km 47. This application was carried out due to an increase in the number of vehicles.

"For the time of implementation, it is situational in accordance with the discretion of the police," said Eddy.
