JAKARTA - The Manager of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) has prepared 40 units of electric buses to serve tourists who visit during the 1444 Hijri Eid Al-Fitr holiday.

"We have prepared an internal'shuttle' (electric bus) because all tourist vehicles will be parked. We will add 10 units to 20 units. Yesterday 20 units came again, so a total of 40 units," said PT BIVA President Director as TMII manager, Claudia Inggariwang in Jakarta, Thursday.

The addition, he said, was to anticipate the number of surges in TMII visitors which are expected to increase during the Eid holiday later.

In addition, based on the evaluation from the previous day, several visitors were also often observed not wanting to take turns riding the electric bus.

So, to minimize similar possible conditions, TMII added the fleet.

"There are those who don't want to get off the electric bus, while the capacity is limited, so we will deploy the fleet again," he said.

To be able to enjoy facilities at TMII, visitors are now required to use electric buses or walk.

"Even if tourists need'shuttle', it's available and free. We also prepare private vehicles (such as bicycles) for rent," Claudia said as quoted by Antara.

TMII itself targets the number of tourists or visitors to reach 50,000 people on the 2023 Eid holiday.

He hopes that there will be an increase in tourist visits because currently COVID-19 is sloping and people have dared to travel again.

"We hope that of course there will be an increase in the number of tourists, just stay in case because (the opening of TMII) is still in the trial stage. If the purchase of 'online' tickets is full, it will be submitted to buy again in the future," said Claudia.
