Jokowi Holds Bilateral Meetings With German Chancellors

JAKARTA - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is scheduled to attend the Hannover Messe 2023 manufacturing industry exhibition and hold a bilateral meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on the second day of his visit to Hannover, Germany, Sunday.

Quoted from Antara, Sunday, President Jokowi started his second day of visit in Hannover by walking in the morning and greeting the Indonesian people around the hotel where he spent the night.

The President left the hotel at around 10.40 local time (WS) or 15.40 WIB, accompanied by SOE Minister Erick Thohir, Investment Minister/Head of BKPM Bahlil Lahadalia, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, and Indonesian Ambassador to Germany Arif Havas Oegroseno.

President Jokowi seemed to be enjoying his morning walk activities in the middle of cool spring air.

On his way, Jokowi saw several Indonesian people and immediately greeted them. It didn't last long, the President then returned to the hotel where he spent the night.

On Sunday afternoon local time, President Jokowi is scheduled to hold a business meeting with several German companies.

After that, the President accompanied by First Lady Iriana will go to Hannover City Hall to sign the "State Capital Golden Book".

Then, President Jokowi is scheduled to attend the opening of Hannover Messe 2023 with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz at the Hannover Congress Centrum (HCC).

In the evening, the Head of State will head to the Lower Saxony Government Guesthouse to hold a bilateral meeting with the German Chancellor and end with a dinner.

At Hannover Messe in 2023, Indonesia became the first ASEAN country to become the official partner of the manufacturing exhibition. The theme carried by Indonesia at the largest industrial exhibition in Europe is "Making Indonesia 4.0".
