Sued In Depok District Court, Raffi Ahmad Asked To Resign As A Vaccine Influencer

JAKARTA - Celebrity Raffi Ahmad was sued at the Depok District Court (PN) by a public advocate, David Tobing. The lawsuit was registered with the PN DPK-012021GV1 online registration number.

David Tobing, in a written statement reported by Antara, Friday, January 15, stated that the basis of the lawsuit was because Raffi was suspected of violating health protocols after undergoing the first COVID-19 vaccine with the President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, Wednesday, January 13.

The figure of Raffi Ahmad who was chosen in the initial vaccination is expected to be an example for the community, to follow vaccinations and be disciplined in implementing health protocols.

As it turned out, several hours after the vaccination, Raffi was documented attending a party without wearing a mask and without maintaining his distance in the crowd.

"It is very unfortunate that a prominent public figure and influencer who has been trusted by the state but does not appreciate it, does not set a good example for people who see his actions. Moreover, the governor has enforced tightening health protocols from January 11 to January 25," said David.

With a contradicting attitude, David is worried that the public will follow what Raffi is doing, namely that all vaccines can be free without health protocols.

"Raffi's actions should have had a positive, not negative, impact like this," he continued.

Raffi's lawsuit is against the law (PMH) related to health protocols.

For example, the Regulation of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Province No. 3 of 2021 concerning the Implementation Regulation of Regional Regulation Number 2 of 2020 concerning the Prevention of Corona Virus Disease 2019, Regional Regulation of the Province of DKI Jakarta No. 2 of 2020 concerning the Prevention of Corona Virus Disease 2019, and Law No. 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine.

The illegal acts committed by Raffi Ahmad have caused immaterial losses so that in his lawsuit, David Tobing asked the Panel of Judges to sentence Raffi Ahmad not to leave the house for 30 days after receiving the second vaccination.

Raffi was asked to convey an apology and commitment to continue to socialize and apply health and vaccination protocols to the public in a number of private TV media, personal social media and national daily newspapers.

On the other hand, David Tobing who is also Chairman of the Indonesian Consumer Community asked the government to be more selective in choosing influencers.

Can provide clear directions and tasks to designated parties to socialize vaccination programs and health protocols.

"For now, Raffi can actually resign as an influencer of the vaccination program or the government can terminate him," he said.

David sued in his capacity as an advocate who is obliged to uphold the law and as a citizen who cares about the response to COVID-19.
