6 Passengers Of Sriwijaya Air SJ-812 Were Successfully Identified

JAKARTA - Kramat Jati Police Hospital has successfully identified the six passengers of the Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 plane that crashed in the waters of the Thousand Islands. Identification is done through a fingerprint matching process and DNA samples.

"Today we can identify six victims this afternoon," said Karo Penmas Police Headquarters Brig. Gen. Rusdi Hartono in a press conference at the East Jakarta Police Hospital, Thursday, January 14.

The passengers identified as of today are Ricko, Ihsan Adhlan Hakim, Supianto, Pipit Piyono, and Yohanes Suherdi. In addition, the DVI team also succeeded in identifying a flight attendant who was on duty, Mia Tresetyani.

In total since 11 January, 12 passengers have been identified. The 2 identified bodies, namely Okky Bisma and Asy Habul Yasmin, have been handed over to the family.

Previously reported, the Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 plane on the Jakarta-Pontianak route had lost contact in the Thousand Islands shortly after taking off from Soekarno Hatta Airport on Saturday, January 9, 2020. Furthermore, the authorities confirmed if the plane crashed around Male Island and Lancang Island, Thousand Islands.

The total aircraft carried 62 people, including 12 crew members and 50 passengers consisting of 40 adult passengers, seven children and three babies.

The six victims previously identified were Okky Bisma, Fadly Satrianto, Khasanah, Asy Hasbul Yamin, Agus Minarni, and Indah Halimah Putri.
