Vice President (Vice President) Ma'ruf Amin visited the funeral home of the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) of DKI Jakarta Province for the period 2018-2023 KH Munahar Muchtar who died at the age of 56 at Pertamina Central Hospital.

Receiving the sad news, Ma'ruf Amin visited the funeral home on Semanan Raya Street, Lamporan Semanan Village, Kalideres, West Jakarta.

Ma'ruf arrived at the funeral home at around 10:43 WIB, and was greeted by the second son of the deceased, Faiz representing the family.

After leading the tahlil and prayers for the deceased, the Vice President revealed that he felt very lost over the passing of KH Munahar, whom he called a scholar who had a lot of knowledge.

"He is a fatwa cleric who has a lot of knowledge, many benefits. Hopefully (the worship) he will be accepted by Allah SWT," said the Vice President.

In addition, according to the Vice President, KH Munahar is also a scholar who is persistent in fighting for the interests of the people, and continues to provide enlightenment so that people always carry out the orders of Allah SWT.

"There are many benefits in life, their lives are devoted to religion, society, nation and state," he praised.

The Vice President said that the death of KH Munahar was a disaster for the people because his knowledge was also brought.

"The loss of the cleric is a disaster. If the cleric dies, his knowledge is taken and looking for a replacement is difficult. Allah does not raise knowledge from the human heart, but Allah raises knowledge by taking its scholars," he said.

For this reason, the Vice President hopes that the loss of KH Munahar will soon be replaced by other knowledgeable scholars.

"There must be someone to replace it. If until no pious person replaces him, then the people will take stupid leaders, who when asked, give fatwas without knowledge, (so) he is heretical and misleading," he said.

On that occasion, the Vice President advised the bereaved family to be sincere and patient with the passing of the late KH Munahar.

"Everything a disaster has been destined by Allah SWT. We must not complain," he said.

The vice president also prayed for the deceased, so that his various services during his life become savings for deeds of worship in the hereafter.

"Hopefully there will be a replacement for young scholars, because now many of the elders have been called by Allah SWT," he said.

At around 11.10 WIB, the Vice President left the funeral home location to return to his residence.

The body of KH Munahar Muchtar was buried on the same day after the Dzuhur at the private funeral complex not far from the deceased's house.

For information, KH Munahar Muchtar was elected as the General Chair of the DKI Jakarta MUI for the 2018-2023 period. In his duties, he was accompanied by General Secretary KH Yusuf Aman and General Treasurer KH Abi Ichwanuddin.
