JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched four locations related to allegations of corruption in the distribution of performance allowances for employees of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) and found a number of pieces of evidence including billions of rupiah. "First, in the Tebet area (Directorate General of Mineral and Coal) then the second in the central ESDM (Ministry) and after that since late afternoon, it has been continued to one location in Pakubuwono (Menteng area) until early in the morning, yes, then today in Depok," said KPK Investigation Director Asep Guntur at the KPK Red and White Building, South Jakarta, Tuesday, March 28. From the search at the four locations there were documents found. In addition, Asep said investigators found billions of money. "Not foreign currency, rupiah," said Asep. Previously, the KPK revealed that it was investigating allegations of corruption at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. It is suspected that there was allowance money that was cut and entered into private pockets.

The amount of money deducted has not been given in detail by the KPK. However, it is suspected that tens of billions of money were enjoyed by the perpetrators, including for operational costs to support the examination process of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK). In investigating this allegation, investigators from the anti-corruption commission have conducted a search.
