Minister Of Manpower Ida Fauziyah Promises Optimal Supervision, Company Should Not Pay THR For Eid Al-Fitr This Year

JAKARTA - The Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Ida Fauziyah promised to optimally supervise so that no company is late in paying the Eid Al-Fitr 1444 H holiday allowance (THR). "Yes, it has its own provisions. It is the realm of supervision, there will definitely be supervision in the field and we will continue to open the THR Payment Supervision Task Force,” said Ida at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Antara, Monday, March 27. Ida said that she would sign the Circular (SE) of the Idulfitri 1444 H Holiday Allowance Payment (THR) on Tuesday and would immediately announce it to the public. "Tomorrow I will sign the THR circular. So tomorrow I invite my friends to hold a press conference related to the circular about THR,” he said. Ida is still reluctant to elaborate on the details of the THR payment listed in the SE. He said all the provisions regarding the THR payment would be explained in detail. However, Ida explained that the slowest period of business entities paying THR is still the same as the provisions in 2022, namely D-7. "Yes, D-7. I think it will be announced tomorrow," he said. Previously, the Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi appealed to all companies to fulfill the provision of Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijri holiday allowances (THR) to workers no later than April 18, 2023. The appeal was also made regarding the change in the schedule for Eid 2023 joint leave from April 21-26 to April 19-25. By ensuring that the THR has been disbursed on April 18, Budi said, entrepreneurs have given their workers the opportunity to start traveling back and forth on April 18 evening. "On the 18th, it is certain that they have received the THR and they can travel from 18 nights," he added. Based on the Regulation of the Minister of Manpower (Permenaker) Number 6 of 2016 concerning Religious Holiday Allowances for Workers/Labourers in Companies, companies are required to pay THR to workers no later than seven days before the religious holiday in question. Thus, when referring to Eid al-Fitr 1444 H, which according to the national holiday of SKB Three Ministers falls on April 22-23 2023, then THR should be paid on April 15, 2023. Permenaker Number 6 of 2016 also stipulates that the company will receive a fine of five percent of the total THR that must be paid in the event of a late payment.
