Month Of Fasting At The KPK Detention Center: Prisoners Change To Imam Of Tarawih Prayers

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) ensures that detainees in detention centers can carry out worship in the month of Ramadan to the fullest. They are given the flexibility to carry out religious obligations, including carrying out tarawih prayers.

"The tarawih (restrictions, ed) places in each detention place are both in (Rutan KPK Branch, red) C1, Guntur, and Merah Putih," said Head of the KPK Detention Center Ahmad Fauzi to reporters quoted on Thursday, March 23.

Meanwhile, feeding for Muslim prisoners will be adjusted at dawn and before breaking the fast. "Added takjil food," explained Ahmad.

The provision of this food will be regulated by a third party, namely catering. Ahmad believes that prisoners can perform fasting optimally.
