Kominfo Service Holds Seminar On The Urgency Of Digital Ethics

Bakti KOMINFO held a national webinar with the theme Digital Ethics Card', Monday, March 13. This event was attended by approximately 200 participants from various regions in Indonesia.

The targets and targets of participants from this seminar are millennials, teachers, and also parents so that the urgency of digital ethics can be spread evenly. This seminar was guided by Ayu Nurrahmawati as moderator and filled with four extraordinary speakers with the same theme.

The first material was delivered by Mukhlis Basri as a member of Commission I of the Indonesian House of Representatives. He explained the material about the challenges and consequences of the massive technological movement, especially in the digital realm.

He reminded that behind the increasingly sophisticated digital technology that can make it easier to interact long distances, communicate and receive and receive information, it is undeniable that the easier it is to transact digitally, the greater the responsibility and ethics that must be carried out.

The second material was delivered by Devie Rahmawati as a digital literacy activist. In his presentation of the material, he alluded to the many cases of misuse of digital media, such as in social media which caused our country to become a country with people who are known to be the least polite in Southeast Asia when communicating on the internet.

He explained that currently Indonesians tend to socialize with the media in an unhealthy way. This can be proven by the rampant cases of hoax news, hate speech, pornography, leakage of personal data, and online fraud that spread.

Therefore, he gave an accurate strategy, namely the application of Pancasila-based digital ethics in the hope of tackling and minimizing the negative impact of using digital media incorrectly.

The last material was delivered by Mr. Budiman as an editor at LKBN BETWEEN Lampung. In his presentation of the material, he explained in more detail what is meant by digital media, online media and digital ethics.

In addition, he emphasized to the whole community to be wiser and more careful in social media.
