Evidence Of 385 Grams Of Methamphetamine Belonging To Cross-Central Kalimantan Provincial Dealers Destroyed

PALANGKA RAYA - The Provincial National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) of Central Kalimantan (Kalteng) destroyed more than 385 grams of methamphetamine belonging to six suspects involved in the alleged cross-provincial drug network case.

Head of BNNP Central Kalimantan Brigadier General Pol Sumirat Dwiyanto said the destroyed items were caught in Kapuas and West Kotawaringin Regencies involving one of the inmates at the Central Kalimantan Correctional Institution (Lapas).

He said the destruction was carried out by mixing more than 385 grams of crystal methamphetamine with floor cleaning liquid, then buried in the ground, which was also witnessed by representatives of the Central Kalimantan Prosecutor's Office, BPOM Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan Police and the Palangka Raya City District Court.

Sumirat said the destruction of narcotics was a commitment of the local BNNP to eradicate drugs, so that the illicit goods belonging to the six suspects were destroyed so as not to be misused.

"This is a series of legal processes as well as a form of commitment to all components in fighting drug abuse in Central Kalimantan," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, March 21.

He said the drugs with a total of 385 grams destroyed belonged to five suspects, namely FA, R, R, MA, N and A.

He revealed that before the arrest was made on March 1, 2023, BNNP members arrested Fa and R at a shop on Jalan A Yani, precisely Pangkalan Lada Village, West Kotawaringin Regency, methamphetamine was found in the seat of a motorcycle driven as much as 193.1 grams.
