Heru Budi Invites South Korean Transportation Minister Jajal LRT Velodrome-Trade Two

JAKARTA - Acting (Pj) Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono invited Minister for Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea (Minister of Agrarian, Infrastructure, and Transportation of South Korea), Won Hee-ryong in Jakarta Light Rail Transit (LRT) on the Velodrome-Security Two route.

Heru and Won Hee-ryong met at Velodrome Station located in East Jakarta. They and their entourage boarded the Jakarta LRT.

On the train, Heru and Won Hee-ryong chatted casually while enjoying their trip to the Pegangsaan Dua LRT Depot. Heru also discussed the plan to build the 1B phase of the Jakarta LRT which will be continued from Velodrome to Manggarai, South Jakarta.

Won Hee-ryong also mentioned the plan to work on the LRT Velodrome-Manggarai route with a track length of 6.4 kilometers.

After trying to ride the LRT with a length of route 5.2 kilometers, the former governor of Jeju Province is interested in offering his country's companies as development investors.

"Just tried out LRT 1A and I witnessed for myself, LRT 1A was very successful in operating in Indonesia and we were very happy to see it. For the next phase, lrt 1B of the Korean consortium will put all efforts into careful planning and preparation to participate in the tender," he explained.
