Gerindra Asks Sandiaga To Take Action On Hijrah To PPP: Want To Leave Or Stay Fighting With Pak Prabowo?

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Gerindra Party Board of Trustees, Sandiaga Uno, was asked to be firm in responding to the issue of the hijrah to PPP. Gerindra Party politician Kamrussamad urged Sandiaga not to be gray in expressing his political stance.

"As a character, he should have an attitude. If you want to come out, all of you come out. If you want to stay in an orderly fight with Pak Prabowo, all of you are orderly," said Kamrussamad at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, March 16.

Kamrussamad said the issue of Sandiaga's move to PPP had not subsided and continued to be a topic of conversation until recently it was hoped that the Acting General Chairperson of PPP, M Mardiono.

Sandiaga has indeed stated that he remains obedient to the party and General Chairperson of Gerindra Prabowo Subianto. However, his statement was deemed less assertive of his political stance so that it gave fresh air to political parties who were eyeing him.

This member of Commission XI of the DPR warned Sandiaga not to give PPP hope. With Sandiaga's absence of firmness, according to Kamrussamad, it is now confusing Gerindra cadres because the issue continues to roll on.

"In this politics, the area cannot be gray. Because the public can see for themselves our attitude," said Kamrussamad. Previously, Plt Ketum PPP M Mardiono hoped Sandiaga Uno would join his party to help face the 2024 General Election. Later, Sandiaga just chose to be promoted as a presidential candidate, vice presidential candidate or candidate for the DPR.

"We certainly hope that Mr. Sandi will join PPP, including later on how to deal with the upcoming 2024 elections," Mardiono told reporters at the PPP DPP, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday, March 13. "Is it later that Mr. Sandi, we will support him, we will carry him as a candidate in the president, vice president, or can he also, because politics is dynamic, he could also oh turn out to be running in the DPR, for example, right," he continued.

According to Mardiono, Sandiaga's political career has been tested. Starting from being elected as Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, running for vice president in the 2019 presidential election until Jokowi was appointed minister.

"Pak Sandi is a national figure, a millennial politician who has been tested. When the Deputy Governor in DKI was also elected, then the vice president appointed to accompany Pak Prabowo also received a vote of 43 percent. This means that a political figure has been tested in the national arena," said Mardiono.
