Absent, KPK Recalls Regent Kaur Gusril Pausi

JAKARTA - Regent Kaur Gusril Pausi is absent from the summons of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigators. He was originally examined as a witness regarding the bribery of fries or lobster seeds that involved the former Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Edhy Prabowo. The KPK also recalled Gusril.

"Gusril Pausi, Regent of Kaur, Bengkulu, did not attend without confirmation and a schedule for a recall," said Acting KPK spokesman for prosecution Ali Fikri, Tuesday, January 12.

Furthermore, he reminded everyone who was summoned to be witnesses to be cooperative and fulfill the summons. Because, this summons is an effort to investigate a case.

"Summoning someone as a witness is certainly because there is a need for investigation to clarify the alleged series of actions of the suspects," he said.

"For this reason, the Corruption Eradication Commission urges parties summoned by the KPK to be cooperative in fulfilling these legal obligations," Ali added.

Previously reported, the number one person in Kaur Regency, Bengkulu Province would be questioned for the alleged owner of PT Dua Putra Perkasa, Suharjito, who was a suspect in giving bribes to Edhy Prabowo as Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries.

It is not yet known what material the investigators will examine in the investigation of Gusril. However, an investigator is summoned to be examined as a witness because he is suspected of hearing, seeing, experiencing or knowing the occurrence of a criminal act.

In this case the KPK has named several people as suspects. Among others, Edhy Prabowo as Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries together with two of his staff, Safri and Andreau Pribadi Misata; the management of PT Aero Citra Kargo (PT ACK) named Siswadi.

Then, the staff of the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries named Ainul Faqih; and Amiril Mukminin. Meanwhile, the suspect who gave the bribe was the Chairman of PT Dua Putra Perkasa Pratama (PT DPPP), Suharjito.

Edhy Prabowo and five other people are suspected of accepting bribes from Suharjito and a number of exporters related to the export license for fry, whose transportation services can only use PT Aero Citra Kargo.
