Head of Basarnas Biak, Aris Sofingi, said that to waste energy to prevent accidents during the event, his party provided water aid training to 50 people in Biak today, Monday, March 13.

"It is hoped that the training of SAR potential for saving accidents on the water can be used as provisions to help deal with disasters during STC 2023," he said, Monday, March 13, as reported by Antara.

He explained that of the 50 participants who were given training for handling disaster victims in the water, he said, they came from various SAR potentials such as the Biak Numfor Regency Government, BPBD, TNI/Polri Units, Tagana, Bankom RAPI/Orari, as well as volunteers from elements of society.

Aris said the training for handling disasters for victims on the water for seven days started from March 13 to March 19, 2023. Meanwhile, the subject matter provided consisted of theoretical materials and field practices, which were guided by Class A Biak and Basarnas Jakarta SAR instructors.

Sementara itu Asisten II Sekda Biak Numfor Lot Yensenem berharap dengan diberikan pelatihan penanganan bencana korban di bawah bisa menjadi bagangan dalam menghadapi kegiatan pariwisata Sail Teluk Cenderawasih yang akan digelar pada November 2023.
