Council Hopes There Will Be No More Cases Of Student Persecution To Death In Bogor

BOGOR - Chairman of the Bogor Regency DPRD, Rudy Susmanto, admitted that he was concerned about the incident that happened to the late Arya Saputra (16), even though he was known as a good boy, but the 10th grader of SMK Bina Warga became a victim of a stabbing.

"Of course his family is very saddened, and representing the Bogor Regency DPRD institution, we express our condolences. May Arya get the best place, benaugurated by Allah. We also pray for the family to be given patience to face this tough test," said Rudy during a visit to the funeral home in Cijujung Village, Sukaraja, Bogor, Saturday, March 11.

He said that the late Arya Saputra was known as a good and obedient child. His family, very much supports Arya in achieving his goals. The student, who recently sat in the 10th grade of SMK, chose the Department of Light Vehicle Engineering (TKR) to achieve his dream of becoming an engineer.

Rudy hopes that the violent behavior that often occurs among students and the world of education will no longer be repeated.

"These children have a future, and education is one of our joint efforts to make their future better," said Rudy.

He said that although he was very disappointed and angry, the incident should not have a long tail and left revenge between friends at the school victim's place with students at the perpetrator's school. Violence, he said, would never be a solution to solving the problem.

"These children have a future, so we have to make sure education goes well. Don't hold grudges, and don't let any more victims," he said.

Therefore, Rudy asked law enforcement officials to handle this case by prioritizing a sense of justice for all parties, especially for the families of the victims. Rudy also asked the education organizers to seriously evaluate so that similar incidents would no longer occur.

"And talking about today's conditions, we should no longer talk about this as the authority of the province, don't talk about this as the authority of the Regency, this is our shared responsibility," he said.

In addition, the Gerindra Party politician ensured that the Bogor Regency DPRD would attract input from competent parties to evaluate the current system or educational model. Educational institutions, said Rudy Susmanto, must be a space to educate the nation's life and shape a solid, independent personality as well as a sense of community and national responsibility.

"Through Commission IV of the Bogor Regency DPRD, we will discuss this issue seriously and we will also convey the recommendations to the Ministry of National Education," he said.

Previously, Arya Saputra was stabbed to death by an unknown person at around 09.30 WIB, Friday (10/3), when he was about to cross from the end of the alley on the edge of Jalan Raya Jakarta-Bogor, precisely not far from the Pomad intersection, North Bogor District, Bogor City.

One of the witnesses, Andre, explained that prior to the incident, Arya and five of his friends were about to cross the road. Then, from the direction of Cibinong, three students rode a motorbike and attacked using a sword.

After getting a sword on the cheek, precisely under the ear, Arya immediately lay down. The victim's colleague had run away, before returning to help the victim, assisted by local residents who stopped the ambulance, then took Arya to the FMC Hospital.
