JAKARTA - The residence of Captain Afwan, Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 Pilot in Bumi Cibinong Endah (BCE) Housing, Bogor Regency, West Java, was flooded with flower garlands from relatives.

The bouquets arrived from Sunday evening, January 10 to Monday afternoon, January 11. Some of them came from the Air Force Chief of Staff, TNI Marshal Fadjar Prasetyo, the Association of 38 Jakarta Senior High School Alumni Pilots, TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, and Chairman of the Bogor Regency DPRD Rudy Susmanto.

When interviewed, Rudy Susmanto hoped that Captain Afwan's family would be given courage after the loss of the Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 aircraft over Lancang Island, Seribu Archipelago on Saturday (9/1) afternoon.

"My condolences for the Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 plane crash that befell 56 passengers and crew in the waters of the Thousand Islands," said Rudy.

Previously, Bogor Regent Ade Yasin also visited Captain Afwan's residence on last Sunday. His arrival at Captain Afwan's house, which is located not far from the Regent's Hall, is to provide moral support to the family.

"As the Regent of Bogor and a neighbor, he is close to my house. This morning he came to give encouragement and motivation to the family because until now it is not clear what his fate is (Captain Afwan)," said Ade Yasin.

He noted that Captain Afwan was the only resident of Bogor Regency who was on the SJ-182 plane on the Jakarta-Pontianak route that Saturday afternoon.

"There is no additional information regarding the residents of Bogor Regency, but I always communicate like with AtS Air Base (Atang Senjaya Air Base)," he said.
