Requests For Passport Making At Jambi Kualatungkal Immigration Reaches 20-50 Per Day This Month

JAMBI - Class II Immigration Office of TPI Kualatungkal, West Tanjungjabung Regency (Tanjabbar), Jambi Province, has experienced a surge in passport requests since early 2023.

Head of the Class II Immigration Office of TPI Kualatungkal Edy Friyan said that passport applications range from 20-50 passports per day for this month at Kualatungkal Immigration. This is different in 2022 under 10 passports.

"Currently, it is being enlivened by making Umrah travel passports which will depart in the near future," he said in Jambi, Thursday, March 9, which was confiscated by Antara.

He said passport makers were dominated by Umrah travelers.

From January to now, Umrah travel has taken turns to take the congregation for passport making at the Kualatungkal Immigration Office.

"Most of the makers are for Umrah passports, the rest are travel trips and other trips abroad," he said.

Edy also said that passport making can be done using a Passport M, where with the application for making a passport or M-Passport passport can be made for a maximum of three working days.

Making a passport using M-Passport, if there is a network disturbance, the officer will immediately contact it.

"The obstacle in M-Passport is the internet network, which if there is a disturbance, we can directly communicate with the Immigration authorities," he said.

For M-Passport services, there are special services for the elderly (elderly) where these elderly are a priority for services for the Immigration.

A resident of the passport maker at Class II Kualatungkal Immigration, H Arnain, said that services for the elderly were sufficient and in addition, his party would also make passports for Umrah trips and he brought eight families to go for Umrah.
