KPK Searches For Lukas Enembe's Assets Through Witness Member Of The Papua DPRD Boy Markus Dawir

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continues to pursue assets belonging to the inactive Papua Governor Lukas Enembe. They searched through witness statements, namely Papuan DPRD member Boy Markus Dawir who was questioned on Tuesday, March 7. "The witness was present and his knowledge was investigated, among others, related to the alleged ownership of assets from the suspect LE," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Wednesday, March 8. Ali did not elaborate further on the examination. However, Markus' statement is considered to be able to shed light on the practice of bribery and gratuities allegedly committed by Lukas. Previously reported, Lukas became a suspect in alleged bribery and gratification for allegedly receiving money from the Director of PT Tabi Bangun Papua, Rijatono Lakka. The gift was made so that the private company received a project in Papua. The KPK said that there was an agreement fee of 14 percent of the contract value and payments must be free from tax deductions. After agreeing, the company Rijatono got three projects. The first is the improvement of the Entro-Hamadi Road with a project value of IDR 14.8 billion. Rehabilitation of facilities and infrastructure supporting PAUD Integration with a project value of Rp. 13.3 billion. Finally, the venue environmental arrangement project developed outdoor AURI with a project value of Rp. 12.9 billion. After the project was won, Rijatono handed over Rp1 billion to Lukas. In addition, Lukas is also suspected of receiving gratuities of up to tens of billions that have just been investigated by the KPK. Apart from Lukas, the KPK suspects that there are officials who participate in accepting bribes and gratuities. However, investigators are still investigating.
