JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has asked the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights
preventing four members of the East Java Provincial DPRD from leaving the country. This prevention is related to the investigation of the alleged bribery of grant funds that ensnared the Deputy DPRD of East Java, Sahat Tua, P. Simandjuntak.
"The investigative team has submitted precautions against leaving the country at the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia against four people who serve as members of the East Java DPRD," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri at the KPK's Red and White Building, South Jakarta, Tuesday, March 7.
Ali did not specify the identities of the four members of the East Java DPRD. Prevention is valid for six months.
"And of course it can be extended again as long as necessary," said Ali.
