South Sorong Police, West Papua arrested two residents in Maybrat Regency in 2020. South Sorong Police Chief AKBP Choiruddin Wachid explained that the perpetrator named Rudolf Fatem was arrested at the Klamit Post, last Sunday. This perpetrator has previously been named a suspect and is on the wanted list (DPO). "Rudolf Fatem is the perpetrator involved in the murder of two residents to death in South Aifat District, Maybrat Regency on June 13, 2020," explained Choiruddin in Sorong, Antara, Monday, May 6. Rudolf Fatem is the spokesman for the KNPB along with his seven colleagues with the initials AF, YK, YF, AF, BM, SM, and MF have been hunted by the police since they were declared DPOs. "We have arrested Rudolf Fatem, later the Regional Police will investigate to arrest the others," said AKBP Choiruddin. He said the arrest was carried out on Sunday (5/3) because the police had known of the perpetrator's last whereabouts. "When he was arrested, he was about to travel from Sorong City to Maybrat Regency," he said. He added that after being arrested, the perpetrators would be handed over to the West Papua Police for further investigation. "Our job is only to help arrest and then further process will be carried out by the West Papua Police," he added.
