JAKARTA - The National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) invites the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to continue to actively protect residents in the capital city in order to avoid the dangers of exposure to radicalism.

"Ladies and gentlemen who have the authority in the DKI Provincial Government must be able to ensure that our people are not exposed to radicalism, we take care of our citizens," said Head of BNPT Komjen Pol. Boy Rafli Amar quoted by ANTARA, Monday, March 6.

Boy Rafli said this during a briefing event to high-ranking middle and pratama officials within the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

As the center of government for the nation's capital city with the number of residents living, he continued, Jakarta has more complex life problems.

To ensure that people are not easily exposed to radicalism, BNPT has five strategies that can be implemented and imitated, namely transformation of national insight, revitalization of Pancasila values, religious moderation, cultural preservation, and welfare development.

On that occasion, Boy Rafli appreciated the Pancasila Village in DKI Jakarta. He hopes that the program can provide examples of other programs in the DKI Provincial Government, such as educational parks to lenong arts performances in public spaces.

"I am proud of the existence of Kampung Pancasila. In addition, we can also use city parks as educational parks," he explained.

Meanwhile, Acting Governor of DKI Heru Budi Hartono hopes that DKI Jakarta can be safe from all threats arising from radicalism. This is because these threats come unexpectedly.

"I want DKI Jakarta to be safe from all sides of threat due to radical ideas, the threat is sometimes unexpected when it comes. Therefore, we must anticipate it," said Heru.

As additional information, BNPT RI has made various efforts to prevent terrorism radicals in Jakarta through the Coordination Forum for the Prevention of Terrorism, Peace Ambassadors, National Dialogue, and the establishment of Warung NKRI in DKI Jakarta.
