BeLITUNG - Officers from the Belitung Regency Civil Service Police Unit (Satol PP) confiscated 155 pills without a distribution permit.

Secretary of the Belitung Regency Satpol PP, Abdul Hadi, said the hundreds of hard drugs consisted of 115 items of Tramadol and 40 pills of Trihexyphenidyl.

"We confiscated hundreds of hard drugs from our hands, MIA (22) a resident of Jalan Basuki Rahmat, Pangkallalang Village," he said in Tanjung Pandan, Belitung, Bangka Belitung Islands (Babel), Monday, March 6, which was confiscated by Antara.

He explained that the circulation of hard drugs without a distribution permit was successfully revealed based on information from a number of teenagers who were caught patrolling the Belitung Satpol PP area on Friday, March 3.

"Previously we managed to secure as many as 10 teenagers in two different locations and some of them were caught taking the hard drugs," he said.

He added that from the information obtained, the early detection team and the Belitung Satpol PP area patrol secured MIA at his residence.

"Finally voluntarily, MIA handed over the hard drugs to us with a total of hundreds of pills," he said.

According to Abdul Hadi, the hard drug cannot be sold freely without a distribution permit.

He said the danger caused by consuming a lot of hard drugs resulted in nerve damage and other health problems.

"Because taking these hard drugs is almost the same as taking drugs because if you have overdosed too much," he said.

He said that his party had submitted MIA to the Belitung Food and Drug Supervision Lot (POM) to undergo further processing.

"If we are at the Belitung Satpol PP, the process has been completed only until coaching, namely they signed a statement," he said.
