Due To Bad Weather, The Ferry Ship Shipping On The Letung Anambas Route Has Been Postponed For A Week

Head of the Pos Syahbandar Telaga Punggur Port, Komaruddin, said that the ferry voyage on the route to Letung District, Anambas Regency from Batam had been postponed for a week due to bad weather. "Meanwhile, we have postponed the eruption for more than a week and hopefully the weather will improve soon so that we can return to sailing on Saturday, March 11," he said when contacted in Batam, Riau Islands (Kepri), Antara, Monday, March 6. The delay in shipping the ferry for the Letung route, he said, was due to the importance of safety factors for passengers on board. "God willing, if the weather has improved, we will immediately operate it to that destination and we will always monitor developments from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG)," he said. He mentioned that other ferry shipping such as Tanjungpinang and Tanjung Uban are still safe. "But for the purpose of Tanjung Uban in the past three days we went through an alternative route to avoid high waves," he said. For safety factors, his party has also conducted a picking test in preparation for the moment of welcoming Lebaran Day 2023. The inspection includes safety jackets, signal transmitter radios, navigation radars, to books and certificates of skippers. "We also appeal to prospective passengers and ferry operators to always be careful when shipping and prioritize safety factors," said Komaruddin.
