Panin Bank ATM Filling Officer In Pekanbaru Shot, Rp100 Million Lost

The police are currently hunting for the perpetrators of the robbery of the Bank Panin ATM filling officer on Jalan Tanjung Datuk, Limapuluh District, Sunday, at around 06.40 WIB. The victim was even shot by the perpetrator. "Currently we are analyzing and investigating. Hopefully we can immediately carry out efforts to disclose and arrest," said Director of General Criminal Investigation (Ditkrimum) of the Riau Police, Kombes Asep Darmawan when met in Pekanbaru, Antara, Sunday, March 5. The incident began when a number of Bank Panin ATM filling officers came to the location by driving a Daihatsu Grand Max with police number B 9470 PCT. The process was guarded by the Indonesian Guard Security (SGI). When an officer entered the ATM to fill in, two other officers waited outside. That's when four unknown people suddenly arrived. "When the ATM was about to be filled with money, suddenly the perpetrator immediately took out a firearm and would fire it at the victim, but at that time the weapon was jammed," explained Asep. Seeing this opportunity, the victim tried to get out of the ATM booth and left the money box, but at that time the shots were fired again. This time the victim named Kurnia Illaki was hit by a shot in the right abdomen. He continued, the perpetrator who carried out the shooting then entered and immediately took away the box containing around Rp. 100 million. "At the TKP (the crime scene), 9 mm bullet casings were found. There were four perpetrators, one person got down, one person did the shooting, while the other two carried weapons such as hammers around the location," he said. Currently, the victim has been taken to the hospital for medical assistance. "We pray that the victim recovers quickly, and the perpetrator can be caught," said Asep.
