Ministry Of Religion Arranges Formal Al-Qur'an Education Academic Script

JAKARTA - The Directorate of Education of the Diniyah Islamic Boarding School (PD Pontren) of the Directorate General of Islamic Education of the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) will draw an academic paper related to the formal education of a tiered Al Quran. Director of Education at the Ministry of Religion Islamic Boarding School, Waryono Abdul Ghafur, assessed that formal education and disbursement at the Al Quran Education Institute was very urgent. "The disbursement of Al-Quran education is important, especially in the context of how we understand the stages of interacting, communicating, and understanding the contents of the Quran," said Waryono in a statement received in Jakarta, Antara, Friday, March 3. According to him, if Al-Quran education is not systematic, there could be a leap that would make understanding of the verse inappropriate. However, to design this regulation, a serious study is needed. In addition to research results, he said, interviews with Al Quran educational figures are also needed to explore the relevance and urgency of Al Quran education being made formally and in stages. Another important thing that should not be missed, he said, is the qualifications of educators along with the disbursement of the Al Quran educational institution. "This also has implications for facilitation for those (employees) in the future, how about this if it is required by the formal regulations, while facilitation and financial support as well as access to education have not been thought of or can not be optimal," he said. Thus, Waryono considered the need for an educational institution of the Quran to be appointed as a pilot project to implement this big idea. "We want there to be disbursement and formalization, strengthening of the understanding of the Quran to be more pronounced, there is deepening, enrichment of the literature, and of course demanding professional educators," he said. Meanwhile, Head of Sub-Directorate for Al-Quran Education, Directorate of Early Education of the Ministry of Trade, Pontren Mahrus, said that his party had prepared a special team to prepare a formal Al-Quran Education Institute academic paper. "This academic question is important to make and urge through a special team as scientific arguments for changes to PP 55 of 2007 and its derivatives through the draft PMA of Al Quran Education," he said.
