Fire Still Lahap Kasur Factory In Cirebon, Police Make Sure There Are No Casualties

Police Chief Arjawinangun Commissioner of Police Sayidi said that until now there have been no reports of casualties, due to the fire that occurred at the foam mattress factory.

"Until now there have been no reports of casualties due to the fire," he said while at the scene in Cirebon, West Java (West Java), Tuesday, February 28, which was confiscated by Antara.

He said the foam mattress factory fire occurred on Monday, February 27, at around 20.00 WIB. However, until Tuesday, February 28 afternoon the red rooster could not be extinguished.

However, he said, it was certain that in this incident there were no casualties, because the employees had time to save themselves.

He explained that currently joint officers from the TNI, Polri, Damkar, BPBD Cirebon Regency, continue to try to extinguish the fire and cool down the fire site.

"Officers continue to strive to extinguish the fire, and now it is quite under control," he said.

He added that the factory that caught fire was the construction of a foam mattress, and had been operating for about a year.

According to him, the fire was difficult to deal with because the factory contained raw materials that were very flammable, such as foam, tiner, and others.

Officers, he said, also continue to appeal to the public not to approach the scene, because it is quite dangerous.

"We have also given an appeal to local residents to be more careful, considering that the fire is quite large," he said.

The Cirebon Regency Fire Department has also deployed all its fleets to extinguish the fire, and even received assistance from neighboring areas, Sayidi said.
